We were delighted to receive an unexpected £100 donation from the Inner Wheel Club of Westbury, raised by local people on International Women's Day on 8th March. Mrs. Margarette Golding, a nurse, business woman and the wife of a Manchester Rotarian, started the Inner Wheel movement in 1924.

A huge thanks to the Friends of Bradford on Avon Community Healthcare who have given us £2,500 to deliver our Buddy Scheme in the town and surrounding areas. They gave us a wonderfully swift thumbs up to our proposal to offer longer-term emotional support to people lone parenting and people affected by domestic abuse.

We're thrilled to announce that we've been shortlisted for a South West Impact Award. The Awards have been developed to recognise the work of social purpose organisations in measuring and communicating the impact of what they do.

25th anniversay imageIn May 2014 it will be 25 years since Splitz was formed. In the beginning we weren't called Splitz, but were renamed such in 1997. So in some ways the name Splitz has only been around in Wiltshire since then. However, our aims have changed little from those very early days.

Sally Morrissey GDASS Manager and Debbie Clarke I.D.V.A. attended an event at GE Aviation, the event was for their staff and was focused on healthy living but they wanted to showcase the charities that they have supported. We had a stall about the service that we run and were presented with a cheque for £1500 by Matt Dawson MBE former England Rugby International.
